Alpine Tien Shan Expedition - 11th August

21st August: Andy has called this morning. A successful ascent was made of Korona Peak, the highest peak in the area at 4860m. The conditions are difficult as it is very hot, 25 degrees at 4000m in the shade! They are thinking of heading back to Bishkek tomorrow before going to relax at Issyk-Kul Lake.

Altitude 5000m, Duration 9 days, Grade 2B. Learn alpine skills in the unforgettable location that is the Tien Shan in the Kyrgyz Republic.

15th August: Andy called in today with an update. The first day the group acclimatised on the glacier up to 3700m. The Team then climbed Uchitel (Teacher Peak) 4527m

Tomorrow three of the team will attempt Box Peak, while the rest of the group continue with glacier skills .
