Located in the eastern part of the Annapurna Range south of the Thorong La, Annapurna IV is a spectacular seven thousand-metre peak that can be completed in just 30 days. This climb will require three camps to be set above Base Camp (C1 5500m, C2 6200m, C3 6600m) and is predominantly over snow and ice. Higher than the average 7000m peak, Annapurna IV is ideal training for Everest and avoids the need to do another 8000m peak. Breath-taking views of Manaslu, Tilicho Peak, the Annapurnas and the sacred Machapuchare.
The expedition will be led by the charismatic Di Gilbert, who has led a number of expeditions for Adventure Peaks including 8000m peaks to Everest summit, Cho Oyu twice, K2 and Manaslu; 7000m peaks Himlung Himal and Baruntse, and numerous 6000m expeditions. She has worked at Patriot hills on Antarctica for a number of seasons guiding Mt Vinson and the South Pole numerous times.
