18th – 21st June Mont Blanc summit (Extension)
Guide: Massimo
Congratulations on reaching the summit of Mont Blanc! Great shots from the Cosmiques Arete too.
Day1: Chamonix, sport climbing – We spent the morning climbing at Les Gailland crag in Chamonix valley, and moved up to the Aiguille du Midi and the Cosmiques hut in the afternoon.
Day2: Mont Blanc summit – Leaving the hut at 2:00am, we climbed the three cols path and reached the summit of Mont Blanc at 7:00am, stunning views all round!
Day3: Arete des Cosmiques – The arete was in very good condition so we climbed without crampons, starting at 7:00am to ensure the ridge wasn’t busy. We rounded up our time with a lunch in Chamonix – a great way to finish!
Mont Blanc Extension
This 4 day extension to the highest peak in Western Europe may be added on to any of our Alpine Introductory or Swiss 4000m courses. These previous courses are essential to gain the acclimatisation required to climb Mt Blanc.

8th – 11th July – Monte Rosa
Guide: Guido
Following a successful Introductory Alpine Training course from 1st July, the team headed to Monte Rosa as the weather forecast was poor for Mont Blanc. The trio made it up the second highest peak in the Alps, Monte Rosa, yesterday in fine conditions. Photos to follow!
