4th May All the group are now back in Kathmandu. They are planning a days sightseeing tomorrow and shopping followed by a Nepali Cultural evening before they head back to the UK.
3rd May The Base Camp team have now arrived back in Lukla after a leisurely two day walk down from Namche with a night at Phakding. They arrived in a spectacular thunder storm but things are clearing up and they’re hopeful of flying back to Kathmandu tomorrow morning.
1st May Nick, Neil & Ian are now back in Namche en route to Kathmandu. Carol & Judith had a good flight back to Kathmandu yesterday and have now gone out to Chitwan.
29th April Nick, Neil & Ian have reached the top of Kalar Patar. All is going well and they are enjoying their time in the Khumbu.
27th April Judith & Carol have now departed back to Kathmandu to start their Chitwan Safari. Nick, Ian & Neil are now at Dingboche having a relaxing day, they will head up to Lobuche tomorrow. The weather has been fantastic and the views stunning.
24th April The team have just had their first views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse & Everest from the ridge above Namche. They’re now relaxing back at the lodge and planning tomorrows trek to Tengboche.
23rd April Nick reports – ‘We’ve arrived in Namche after a long, steady day. We left the lodge just after 7am and made good progress along the trail. Everyone took the final climb to Namche at a nice slow pace and we’re very pleased to be here and looking forward to a rest day tomorrow. Ginger Tea and biscuits was provided by the lodge and plenty of garlic soup has been ordered for tonight to aid acclimatization!’
22nd April Nick and the team flew to Lukla at 6.30am this morning and have now trekked to Phakding. They are enjoying a relaxing afternoon and everyone is settling into the trek nicely.
21st April The weather has delayed the teams departure from Kathmandu, all being well they will fly tomorrow.
20th April After a good flight the team arrived in Kathmandu yesterday. The Everest Steak House was the chosen venue for a meal for their first night in Thamel. They will be spending today sightseeing and then heading to Lukla tomorrow morning.
10th March The team will depart for Nepal on the 18th April.
