After acclimatising in Quito the team traveled a short distance to a lovely acclimatisation walk and up Pasochoa 4200m. The team then spent the night in Machachi. Then they headed south following the famous “Volcanoes Valley”, to reach the small village of El Chaupi located at the foot of the twin summits of Illinizas Norte and Sur.
