EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO HIRE
Hire kit is limited and subject to availability, please book in using the form below as soon as possible. If any item is not available, we will offer suitable alternatives or refund within 24-48hrs. Unfortunately, we do not hire equipment to an address outside of the UK.

BOOT HIRE – Sizing
When booking boots, we ask you to state your normal shoe size. On receipt of your payment, we will forward a sizing guide, where you draw around your foot, this will determine the exact boot size we will post out. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit “The Expedition Shop” in Ambleside for a formal boot fit.

All hired equipment that falls within the scope of PPE (personal protective equipment) is only to be used under the supervision of an appointed Adventure Peaks guide/representative.

For men please enter UK XS/S/M/L/XL. For women please enter UK 8/10/12/14/16.

This is the first day of your trip, items will be available for delivery/collection 3-4 weeks prior to your departure.

This is the date of your return to the UK. You have up to 7 days to return all of the equipment to our store in Ambleside (unless instructed otherwise).

Unfortunately we do not post hire equipment to any address outside of the UK. Postage costs average around £15.00, for large packages this may be more. Total postage costs will be included in the final quote.

It is possible to hire certain items of specialist equipment from us which will save you considerable expense if you do not already own them. All equipment is of a high quality and well maintained. We do also sell off our equipment second hand to keep our stocks up to date. If this is of interest to you then please contact chris@adventurepeaks.com for further details.

If you wish to try on boots/clothing, you will need to visit our shop in Ambleside but please advise us beforehand.

Equipment will be available for collection or will be sent out 2-3 weeks before your expedition.

Security deposit - a security deposit of £75 will be taken on orders below £100. Any order above this will be charged an additional 25% of the total hire at the time of booking and released once the product is returned. We may withhold all or part of the deposit to replace:

  1. Lost or damaged gear
  2. Equipment not returned within 7 days of your trip finish date

In instances where the value of the equipment is greater than the deposit held, we may invoice you for an additional excess payment up to the cost of RRP-15%. You agree to indemnify the Company and keep the Company indemnified from all losses arising from damage to the equipment including legal costs of making a recovery against you for such an excess.

You will be responsible for any hired equipment throughout the hire period. It will be sent out “signed for” and must be returned “signed for”. You will be responsible for any loss between signatures, we strongly recommend you insure the return package for the total value of the items and not just the hire value.

CANCELATION CHARGES
Up to 4 weeks before the hire period 10% of the hire charge, less than 4 weeks 50% of the hire charge.
