Congratulations to the team who have summited Lobuche!
11th May
Yesterday Tom & Tanya trekked up to Lobuche and were met by Lee & David who had trekked over from Gokyo. Today the team did some skills training and went for a short walk. Tomorrow they will ascend to high camp at 5290m, with the intention to make their summit bid on Sunday. The winds are looking good and there is a small amount of snow forecast, so fingers crossed it stays that way.

SUMMIT SUCCESS! Congratulations to John and Tom who reached the summit of Island Peak early yesterday morning. Tanya decided to turn around about an hour into the summit day. The team are now down in Dengboche and will head down to Namche in the next day or so.
Tanya and Tom are continuing on to link up with our Lobuche team so will head further up the Khumbu valley after a day to rest in Dengboche.
3rd May
Tom has sent this photo of the team on their rest day on the ridge above Dingboche today. They will head up to Chukkung tomorrow and then onwards up to Island Peak Base Camp.
2nd May
Today the group trekked to Dingboche, where they will spend two nights. On their rest day tomorrow they will have an explore of the local area and sort their kit in preparation for moving up towards Island Peak the following day.
30th April
The team arrived at the bustling village of Namche Bazaar yesterday. Everyone is looking strong and acclimatising well so far. They will be having a rest day today, so might take a wander up to the Everest View Hotel or Khunde to aid their acclimatisation. They will also make time to check out Namche’s finest bakeries and coffees before heading up the valley. There has been rain for the past day or two so they are looking forward to some sun and improving views of the higher peaks.
28th April
Today the group will take the dramatic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and the start of their expedition for real. The first night will be spent at a lodge in Phakding, a few hours’ walk downhill from Lukla.
