Departed 28th March – A great first Himalayan mountaineering experience

9th April: Paul has just called to say the whole team are back together again enjoy well earned coffee and cake in Namchee Bazaar.

8th AprilWe have just had a great message from Paul who successfully summited Island Peak this morning at 10:45 local time with James. Unfortunately 3 of the clients decided to not travel up to the Base Camp for their attempt. We hope to hear more from Paul later on conditions and their summit bid after they have rested.

7th April: We are now getting ourselves comfortable at Island Peak Base camp. A couple of the clients have stayed at Chhukung resting after the Trek before hopefully joining us for a summit bid early tomorrow now. Fingers crossed and we’ll keep you updated with our progress.

2nd April: More good progress as we have now arrived at Tengboche today. All clients  are doing well and were enjoying good weather and great and varied food. We’ve also had more great views of Everest.

1st April: It has been a very special day today with views of so many amazing sights which left us feeling happy and really enthused having seen Everest and Ama Dablam for the first time. We are having a rest day today but still gained 400m.

31st March: The team are all doing well and we have all arrived at the fabulous Namche Bazaar……… What a place with everyone loving the experience.

Tea houses on the trek in have been great with weather good but today was a bit harder as we gained 800m, but no issues.

I’ve tried sending pictures but the “yak powered Internet is a little intermittent”

28th March: The team depart from their home countries on their flights to Kathmandu. Once there, they will receive their briefing about the expedition ahead and have some time to enjoy the hustle and bustle, sights and sounds that make up Kathmandu.
