01/08/06 – 9am GMT: The team arrived at Skardu yesterday, they will head out today by jeep on a 7 hour journey to Askole. From Askole they will start their trek towards K2 Base Camp along the Baltoro Glacier.

10/08/06 – 11am GMT: The team arrived at K2 Base Camp yesterday, Robert, Clifford, Mingma Sherpa & Nerru Sherpa have moved up to the base of Kharut Pyramid. The sherpa’s have gone ahead to fix any lines required. Rob & Clifford will set off in the early hours of tomorrow morning to make an attempt on the summit.

11/08/06 – 10am GMT: Robert, Clifford and the two sherpa’s headed up for the summit of Kharut Pyramid this morning. After a sterling effort Clifford reached 6300m, where he decided to stop and bask in the sun while waiting for the others who continued. Robert and the sherpa’s reached the Western summit which is 10 metres lower than the main summit, unfortunately the ridge between the two summits were heavily double corniced and was considered too dangerous to cross for the sake of another 10 metres. The group returned to Kharut Pyramid base camp that day and should be back at K2 base camp today.

21/08/06 – 3pm GMT: The team have now arrived back in the UK.
