K2 is regarded as one of the hardest mountains in the world and certainly one of the most beautiful to look at with its pyramidal shape. The trek along the Baltoro brings you to the junction with the Goodwin Austen glacier at Concordia, the throne room of the mountain gods. It offers views of some of the most dramatic and awe inspring mountain scenery anyware on earth: Trango Tower, Lobsang spires, Cathedral, Masherbrum, Gasherbrum IV, Mitre Peak, Broad Peak and the jewel in the crown K2.

Trying to imagine what it must be like having a 'rest day' at the foot of the 2nd largest mountain in the world! You must feel very small! Paul - Mum says don't even think about attempting to climb it.... Thinking of you all.
Thanks Stu for news so far and really good to know things going well so far. Wish we could be there too! Hope they're having better weather than a wet summer in the Yorkshire Dales......:( Looking forward to the next bulletin! Jo and Pierre M
