The Adventure Peaks fully supported Manaslu Expedition helicopters in and out from Samagaon (3700m), a 30-40 minute flight from Kathmandu, allowing us to start our real acclimatisation from 3700m before moving up to the Base Camp. We don’t waste time on the very humid, wet and exhausting trek from Arughat at only 600m during the monsoon season with its free leeches!

Our approach gives you seven more potential summit days and a greater chance of success compared to those who trek in from Arughat on the same duration of expedition! The UK expedition leader is our charismatic Di Gilbert who has guided previous expeditions for Adventure Peaks to Everest, Cho Oyu, K2, Ama Dablam and Khan Tengri.
