27/10/06 – 11am GMT:Today we received news that Ian has picked up a chest infection, he’s taking antibiotics and is OK, but it does mean he will not be able to make an attempt on Island Peak. Ian & Edwina have now decided to travel Chitawan National Park & Pokrah for the remainder of their stay in Nepal.

23/10/06 – 10am GMT:All the team have reached the summit of Mera Peak. The team endured some heavy snowfall during the trek into Base Camp, but the weather took a turn for the better as the team prepared to ascend the peak. Alex, Ian & Edwina will now move on to Island Peak, while James & Edward return to Kathmandu
