Mt Wilhelm & Mt Giluwe Expedition

27th July

The team are now heading home, they managed to pop a few summit pictures over to tempt us.

25th July 

Phil has called in to say that the team have reached the summit of Mount Wilhelm.  They will spend the night at base camp and then move down for a relaxing day at the lodge.  We should get pictures through then.

23rd July

Following their success on Mt Giluwe, the team have said goodbye to Yousef and Jaime and are on their way to Mt Wilhelm.

21st July

Summit Success on Mount Giluwe!  After a rainy start on Mount Giluwe, the team have enjoyed a perfect day for their Summit!  Congratulations to the team, who are heading back down to the lodge.

20th July

Phil phoned to say everyone is now at Giluwe Base Camp, they are hoping to go for the summit tomorrow.

18th July

After arriving in Mount Hagen the team took the 4×4 journey to their Lodge where they had a short acclimatisation walk.  Phil says the weather feels much fresher after the humidity of Port Moresby.  Today the team have been acclimatising on Mount Hagen, the weather was a little cloudy and damp, but the team have enjoyed their walk.

14th July

Our team have arrived in Port Moresby and are making their way now to Mount Hagen.
