Aconcagua 6995m – last 2 places available Jan 2022

We have two final places available on our confirmed Jan 15th Aconcagua expedition, led by Dave Pritt – Director of Adventure Peaks.  In November Dave led the successful expedition to summit both Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro and is now looking forward to, yet again, setting out to Argentina this January.

We asked him to fill us in on the latest Covid travel bureaucracy, whether it makes trips like these more frustrating?

“it’s an inconvenience, but one we are getting well practiced in, which definitely makes it all far easier to anticipate and deal with. All has proved possible with an hour or two at the computer face!  And in return, you get 3 weeks of wonderful freedom in the high mountains.

Dave actually wrote this info’ for us yesterday, whilst on a return sea crossing from the little island of La Gomera, headed to back on to Tenerife and from there, to his flight home.

He’d gone to do a recce’ for future trekking on these dramatic rocks with their amazing all year-round sunshine climates.

Whilst on Gomerea he was able to say cheerio to a couple of his brave clients starting their 40+ day Atlantic Rowing Challenge.

“OK, so travel regulations changed during my stay, but I now look out for this and if it happens, am ready with extra time and alternative options.

This time it was a simple LFT (Lateral flow test) added, so as to board the flight back, a five-minute visit to a registered pharmacy, 30€ and it was done.”

Over the past couple of months Adventure Peaks has been to Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, La Gomera and Tenerife.
