Jorge messaged late last night to say they had forgotten to activate the tracker, but the summited Aconcagua yesterday and sent us the following photo from the top.
Maryna & Jorge have now moved up to Camp 3 Guanacos.
Today, Maryna & Jorge went for an acclimatisation walk up to Camp 3 Guanacos, where our other Vacas team are situated and then returned to Camp 1.
Today Jorge and Maryna have trekked to the first camp on the route to Plaza Argentinas base camp. Tomorrow they will make their way to Casa de Piedra and then onto base camp on Monday.
Maryna will arrive into Mendoza today, after a kit check they will head straight to Penitentes and tomorrow will begin the trek into base camp.
Stu Peacock is a very experienced high altitude mountaineer who has been to the Summit of Everest, Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Manaslu and climbed on K2. His other expeditions include: Ama Dablam, Annapurna IV, Peak Lenin, Aconcagua, Khan Tengri, Tien Shan Unclimbed, Korzhenevskaya, Himlung Himal, Baruntse, Mera & Island Peak, Alpamayo, Bolivian Peaks, Spantik, Carstensz Pyramid, Elbrus, MtArarat, Mexican Volcanoes, Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro. He was the first Brit to summit Everest via the North Ridge 3 times and has climbed Everest from both the North & South sides.
