Carstensz Pyramid 15th March 2025 Expedition News

20th March 2025 - Summit Success Again on Carstensz Pyramid!

At 10:30pm UK time (7am local time on the 21st March) Robin, Jo & Dan reached the summit of Carstensz Pyramid. Well done to all the team and have a safe descent back down to base camp.

The Team Before Departing for Their Summit Bid.

20th March 2025 - The Summit is in Sight

In one hours time the team will depart base camp to make their summit bid. They will be the last team to summit before the mountain is closed for this current season. We all with them well.

19th March 2025 - Acclimatisation at Base Camp

Today the team have been stretching their legs and getting adjusted to the altitude of base camp. They managed to get some good views of the route they will be ascending on summit day, see Robin's video below.

18th March 2025 - The team have flown into Base Camp

Today the team flew into Base Camp, ready for their adventure.

15th March 2025 - Indonesia Bound

Today, Jo & Daniel will fly out to Makassar and then onward to Timka, where they will meet Robin.

Robin is an IFMGA and British Mountain Guide, and was involved with Adventure Peaks’ Alpine courses from their inception. He has led professional and private expeditions to South America, Africa, Indonesia, Central Asia, Antarctica, the Arctic and the Himalaya. He has summitted Everest as a guide for Adventure Peaks, together with 6 clients and 5 Sherpas. Robin is a regular Adventure Peaks leader, and recently successfully led our first expedition to Lhotse.
