Staying on the theme of Volcanoes why not climb the 3 highest volcanoes in Ecuador:
Chimborazo - 6,263 meters
Cotopaxi - 5,897 meters
Cayambe - 5,790 meters
Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador and the furthest point from the Earth's center due to the equatorial bulge. Although not the highest by elevation compared to other mountains, its location makes its summit the farthest from the Earth's core. Cotopaxi is famous for its nearly perfect conical shape. Cayambe is the third-highest volcano in Ecuador and is known for being the only mountain on the equator with a permanent snowcap. It's also the highest point on the equator.
