Rock Climbing Improvers Course
22nd – 23rd April 2017
Instructors: Ian and Tom
We were treated to two perfect days of weather this weekend for our Rock Climbing Improvers Course.
On day one, Paul, Chris and Ian climbed at Raven Crag in Langdale, up Revelation (HS) and Centipede (Severe), then we finished with the first pitch of Pluto followed by an abseil back down it.
On Sunday, we started at the top crag at Shepherd’s Crag in Borrowdale, looking at escaping from the system and assisted hoists. Then we went down to Brown Slabs where Paul and Chris shared leads up the Arete (Difficult).
The sunshine really made the weekend and both clients enjoyed the experience and gained confidence in multi-pitch climbing.
Client feedback:
Tom was a superb guide; He comfortably pushed our climbing to a new level, literally! Wilko and I both thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend, of course the weather helped too along with stunning locations. Tom’s knowledge of suitable crags and routes meant that we got the most out of each climb, without being pushed too far too soon, but with plenty of new skills and confidence being picked up along the way. We both got much more out of the weekend than we’d expected to, climbing as well as general hill & mountain-craft too. Speaking to Paul & Chris I believe they got as much out of it as we did and enjoyed it just as much!
