Introduction to Scrambling Course

22nd – 23rd July 2017

It’s great to see some photos of Kay enjoying his weekend’s scrambling. On the first morning it was rather wet so we went to The Bell in the Coniston Fells. It dried out in the afternoon so we went up the Grade 2 ridge on Raven Crag, Yewdale and had good views back down to Coniston Water.  On the second day the weather was better and we ascended Harrison Stickle via Thorn Crag and after crossing the top of Dungeon Ghyll we made our way up the South-West Face scramble. Kay relished the exposure on the steep rocks high above the Ghyll and reached the summit with a great sense of achievement.
