18th May 1.57am : We’ve done it! Back to the van with 10 minutes to spare. We are now on our way to Bangor to drop off clients then home. Well done to the team!
18th May 11.39am : We managed to do 2 hours to the top of Snowdon. On the way down now!
18th May 8am: Chris has text to let us know the team set off at 1.15am and got to the top for 3.05am
17th May 8pm: Stu text that the weather for Ben Nevis can only be described as down right miserable so to get up and down in 4hrs30 in those conditions was a damn good effort by the team. We’re all warm and dry now in the Adventure Peaks van heading south to Scarfell Pike.
17th May 5:38pm Stu has just text us to say they have bagged Ben Nevis with a 2.4 hour walk to the Summit. They set off at 2:46pm. Conditions have been challenging for the group. We should hear another update around 9pm.
17th May 1:20pm It’s going to be wet and wild on Ben Nevis… Just coming into Glen Coe area.
17th May: The team will be meeting Adventure Peaks staff at Glasgow Airport before driving to Fort William to climb Ben Nevis and attempt to ascend the highest summits in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours.
Stu Peacock is a very experienced high altitude mountaineer who has been to the Summit of Everest, Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Manaslu and climbed on K2. His other expeditions include: Ama Dablam, Annapurna IV, Peak Lenin, Aconcagua, Khan Tengri, Tien Shan Unclimbed, Korzhenevskaya, Himlung Himal, Baruntse, Mera & Island Peak, Alpamayo, Bolivian Peaks, Spantik, Carstensz Pyramid, Elbrus, MtArarat, Mexican Volcanoes, Mt Kenya and Kilimanjaro. He was the first Brit to summit Everest via the North Ridge 3 times and has climbed Everest from both the North & South sides.
