16th October

I’m glad to say we all made it to Everest Base Camp yesterday. To top a long but memorable day we camped just below base camp last night and enjoyed clear skies and a full moon over Nuptse. An early start this morning was rewarded with spectacular sunrise views from Kala Pattar. We’re back in the comfort of a Pheriche lodge this evening and will continue the trek down over the next few days before flying back to Kathmandu on Thursday.

12th October

WOW, look at the perfect blue skies the team are getting at Gokyo Lakes!

9th October 

Alice has reported in from Machermo.

We’ve had a good couple of days walking up from Namche and got our first, long awaited mountain views this morning on a walk up the ridge above Machermo. The clouds cleared enough to see stunning views of Cholatse and Kyajo Ri before closing back in again. We’ve also been to the IPPG rescue post to their altitude talk and met this season’s volunteers.
We’re heading up to Gokyo tomorrow and the group are looking forward to seeing the sacred lakes. Fingers crossed for clear skies on Gokyo Ri.

5th October 

The team have now reached Namche Bazaar at an altitude of 3440m.  The group have enjoyed the trekking so far and they are all acclimatising well.

3rd October

The group have all arrived safely in Kathmandu with all their bags. They enjoyed a nice dinner and cultural evening.

The team have now flown on a nice smooth flight to Lukla and are very happy to be up in the mountains.  They have had a good first day’s walk and are now in Phakding.  They are now  looking forward to their first sight of Everest tomorrow.
