Weekend meet

This weekend was the Adventure Peaks weekend meet and as we approached Buttermere the heaven’s opened and the rain came pelting down. Fortunately once we all donned our waterproofs the rain stopped and for the rest of the day we had good views we took the route up onto Red Pike and along the ridgeline to Haystacks where some of the group opted for a quicker descent to the pub…

This weekend was the Adventure Peaks weekend meet and as we approached Buttermere the heaven’s opened and the rain came pelting down. Fortunately once we all donned our waterproofs the rain stopped and for the rest of the day we had good views we took the route up onto Red Pike and along the ridgeline to Haystacks where some of the group opted for a quicker descent to the pub. The rest of the group then went over Haystacks before heading back to Buttermere to meet up for ice cream and then dinner and more chance to share stories of previous trips and what gear to take. Second day we all met at Rydal for a quick jaunt round the Fairfield Horseshoe leaving plenty of time to go gear shopping.
